Job Description: Job Summary: As the Head of Warehouse Operations, you are the single-threaded owner of a major regional distribution hub, responsible for its strategic direction, financial performance, and operational execution. This is not just a role managing day-to-day operations; it is about architecting a world-class fulfillment engine that serves as a key pillar in our global supply chain network. You will lead a team of Head of function [pick / pack / ship] leaders, own the site's full P&L, and cultivate a culture of improvement and leadership development. The ideal candidate is a data-obsessed operator, a strategic thinker, and an inspirational leader who can dive deep into details while simultaneously thinking big to define the future of warehousing and building a talent pipeline. Operational Excellence: Lead the facility to achieve best-in-class performance across all key metrics: Safety (LTI), Quality (RFT), Delivery (OTD), and Cost. Champion a culture where every operator is an owner of these metrics. Data-Driven Decision Making: Champion a "deep dive" culture where data, not anecdotes, drives decisions. Leverage advanced analytics, skywise, and AI insights to identify trends, root-cause defects, and unlock new levels of performance. Innovation & Automation: Sponsor and direct high-impact technology projects, from piloting new robotics and automation systems to implementing predictive analytics for labor planning and inventory flow. Cross-Functional Partnership: Serve as the primary operational leader and strategic partner to executive leadership across Supply Chain, Finance, HR, and Technology, ensuring the hub's strategy is tightly aligned with broader company objectives.

Leadership of Leaders: Directly lead, mentor, and develop a team of senior functional leaders (Heads of Inbound, Outbound, Inventory, etc.). Build a world-class leadership bench with a clear succession plan for all critical roles. Talent Strategy Ownership: Own the end-to-end talent strategy for a facility of hundreds of associates. Set a high bar for hiring, develop rigorous performance management systems, and create clear career paths that foster retention and growth. Culture Cultivation: Intentionally design and cultivate a facility-wide culture rooted in high performance, psychological safety, and continuous learning. Be the primary champion for employee engagement, diversity, and inclusion initiatives. Site-Wide Communication: Develop and execute a clear and consistent communication strategy that keeps all levels of the organization informed, engaged, and connected to the company's mission and goals.

Lead critical, cross-functional strategic initiatives, such as new business line integration, network optimization studies, or the launch of new sustainability programs. Serve as the voice of Operations in senior leadership forums, providing critical insights that shape overall company strategy. Deputize for the Head of Logistics in key meetings and planning sessions as required. Other duties as assigned.
Qualified Experience and Training: Education: Required: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field. Preferred: MBA or Master's degree in a relevant discipline. Experience: Required:
10+ years of progressive experience in a distribution, manufacturing, or fulfillment environment. 5+ years in a leadership role with direct responsibility for managing others. Demonstrated experience with project ownership and managing multi-million dollar operational budgets.
Preferred:
Experience leading large-scale operations Proven success in a highly automated or robotics-driven fulfillment environment. Experience launching new facilities ("greenfield" projects). Experience working within a global, matrixed organization.

Complexity of the Role: Level of Decision Making:
Strategic: The Head of Warehouse Operations is responsible for the vision and strategic direction of a major regional hub. This includes architecting a "world-class fulfillment engine", owning the talent strategy and succession planning, sponsoring high-impact technology and automation projects in line with global direction, and cultivating the facility's culture. The HO WH Ops will also contribute to decisions on technology, talent development, and process improvement to shape the future capabilities of the facility, impacting its ability to support the company's growth and strategic objectives. Tactical: The role translates high-level strategy aligned with the Head of Logistics into actionable plans. This involves developing and executing communication strategies, leading the facility to achieve key performance metrics (Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost), and managing a 1.4 million dollar opex budget to meet financial goals. Operational: While functional heads manage the day-to-day, this role is the ultimate owner of operational execution. This includes making final decisions on resource allocation, resolving escalated issues, and driving a "deep dive" culture to address the root cause of operational problems.
Organizational information: The HO Warehouse Operations role is responsible for ~93 overall rolled up with 12 direct reports. Of those 12, 4 are people leaders with the remaining being subject matter expert roles in the operation. There are no indirect reports to the role. Direct Reports: Is this a people manager?
