Position Highlights The Department of Africana Studies at the University of Arizona is accepting applications for a Limited Term Adjunct Instructor in Africana Studies.

The Department of Africana Studies is seeking candidates with a demonstrated record of teaching excellence. The successful candidate will teach a Hip-Hop Cinema course for an undergraduate student population with a wide range of perspectives and experiences.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Teaching
    one course - AFAS 371 Hip-Hop Cinema - for the Spring 2026 semester.
  • Holding
    office hours.
  • Preparing
    teaching materials independently and collaboratively.
  • Additional duties may be assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Master's
    degree in Africana Studies, African American Studies, Dance, Performance
    Studies, or closely related field.
Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience teaching Africana Studies courses at the University of Arizona.
  • PhD in Africana Studies, African American Studies, or closely related field.
