RN Float & Site Liaison

Location: Great Lakes Management (GLM) Senior Living Communities
Schedule: Full-Time (1.0 FTE) | Primarily Monday-Friday | Occasional evenings/weekends as needed
Reports To: Corporate Director of Nursing
Status: Non-Exempt

At Great Lakes Management, our mission is to make a positive difference in the lives of others. We are seeking a compassionate, motivated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our senior living team. This role plays a key part in supporting clinical excellence, quality assurance, and staff development across our Assisted Living communities.

About the Role

This position travels between GLM communities to provide RN coverage and support during staff transitions, vacations, or leaves, and assists with skills training, service delivery audits, and quality improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide on-site RN coverage at GLM senior living communities as needed.

  • Ensure compliance with all state, federal, and company regulations related to resident services.

  • Complete resident assessments and update service plans following changes in condition, falls, or incidents.

  • Investigate medication errors, incidents, or concerns, and implement corrective actions as needed.

  • Partner with site leaders to promote teamwork, accountability, and a positive work environment.

  • Participate in quality assurance audits and assist in survey preparation and response.

Qualifications
  • Current Minnesota RN license in good standing.

  • Current Wisconsin RN license in good standing or willing to be licensed in WI.

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in assisted living, home health, or long-term care, with staff supervision.

  • Strong organizational, teaching, and leadership skills.

  • Proficient with electronic health record systems and documentation.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required.

  • Passion for serving older adults and promoting quality of life.

Physical & Schedule Requirements
  • Ability to travel between GLM communities throughout Minnesota and Wisconsin.

  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs, stand/walk for extended periods, and manage the emotional demands of caregiving.

  • Typical schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:30 a.m.-5:00 p.m., with flexibility for occasional evenings, weekends, or holidays.
