Position Summary The Head of Collections is responsible for the general management-including scholarship, documentation, acquisition, conservation, storage, transport, and access-for the NYU Art Collection. Steers the museum in its objective to make its collection paintings, drawings, photographs, sculptures, and prints accessible to the widest possible audience for use in research, teaching, exhibitions, and programs. As a senior member of the Grey staff, the Head of Collections supervises collection interns and works collaboratively with colleagues to support the museum and contribute to its educational and research mission. Works closely with museum leadership and exhibitions staff to oversee the safe transport and appropriate display of Collection works, including those on loan to other institutions. Oversee collections-related museum projects. This is a two-year fixed term position. Qualifications Required Education: Additional Information In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $70,000.00 to USD $85,000.00. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer.
