Job Description:

Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and self-motivated Field Service Engineer to support our probe card product line. This role is responsible for delivering high-quality remote technical support and service to customers, ensuring optimal performance of probe card systems. The ideal candidate will have strong fine-motor skills, experience with micro-assembly under a microscope, and a solid foundation in electronics troubleshooting. This is a customer-facing role requiring excellent communication, documentation, and problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide remote technical support and service for probe card customers, ensuring timely and effective resolution of issues.

  • Perform precision micro-assembly tasks under a microscope, including manipulation of microscopic wires using tweezers.

  • Diagnose and troubleshoot basic electronic circuit issues using standard diagnostic tools.

  • Document service activities, diagnostics, and resolutions using Microsoft Excel and Word.

  • Maintain clear and professional communication with customers to ensure satisfaction and build long-term relationships.

  • Work independently with minimal supervision, managing service priorities and schedules.

  • Contribute to continuous improvement of service processes and customer support documentation.

  • Collaborate with engineering and product teams to relay customer feedback and support product enhancements.

This position is US - Remote Eligible (Pacific time zone preferred). The role may include occasional work at an FFI office or attendance at offsites, as agreed to with your manager. FFI can employ in states where we have registered entities. The pay range for this role is between $72,100.00 and $94,605.00 per year and is dependent on the work location of the candidate selected. FormFactor maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in education, training, skills, relevant work experience, business needs and market demands. Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. Pay Range Explained:

This role in Portland, Oregon pays between $72,100.00 and $94,605.00 per year, depending on your experience, skills, and background. Pay may vary in other locations. We offer a full benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability coverage, a 401(k) with company match, employee stock purchase plan (ESPP), and paid time off. You'll also be eligible for quarterly profit-sharing bonuses and flexible spending or savings accounts.
