With general direction, this position provides project management of small to mid -size projects ( typically 2-3 departments) involving 1-3 systems Project teams normally consist of 5-20 individuals. A key accountability is to ensure the quality and timely completion, within budget, of projects to support clinical and business functions of Renown. The position serves as a quality review point for projects to ensure that all project steps have been completed and documented appropriately. This position is the primary point of contact between a project team, the Project Owner, Business System Owner, the Director, and the Business Analyst. The incumbent works directly with customers to initiate, plan, execute and control projects to accomplish project objectives. The incumbent is responsible for keeping abreast of and applying current project management tools and techniques. The incumbent educates Renown personnel about project-management related topics as needed. Under general direction the incumbent provides guidance and assistance through training, coaching, problem solving and general staff development activities for project team members to meet project objectives. The incumbent may be responsible for providing input to the Department/Entity Manager regarding overall staff performance relative to assigned projects and the project process. The position works to obtain and manage project budgets, including training and procurement. This position does not provide patient care.
