Crew Assist Specialist Overview:

Sun Country Airlines is seeking a Crew Assist Specialist to be a resource to support the Flight Operations and Inflight Operations Teams. The Crew Assist Specialist will be responsible for assisting employees within the Flight Ops and Inflight organizations.

Essential Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a high level of knowledge in Company and Department policies and procedures, as well as current collective bargaining agreements
  • Processing of approved leave programs in accordance with Federal, State, Union Agreements and company leave policies, and responsible for all pilot return to work processes, and any applicable processes related to approved pilot leaves
  • Attend Monthly Pilot Bidding Meeting and provide updates on leave changes
  • Crewmember status updates and verification in electronic systems AIMS/UltiPro
  • Enter and Update phone numbers and addresses in electronic systems
  • Track and keep updated crew member credentials such as medicals, passports, company ID, and all FAA required records
  • Administration and quarterly audit of Master Crew List and Known Crewmember data
  • Collaborate with various departments for crewmember requests
  • Development and maintenance of the Crew Assist Department Manual
  • Attend and/or present in the new hire orientation for pilots
  • Enter new hire crew members in applicable systems
  • Add non-crew information into AIMS for jump seating
  • Any other duties assigned by management


Required Qualifications:



  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Experience with coordinating Family and Medical and other leave programs
  • Demonstrates strong organization and time management skills as well as the ability to multi-task
  • Ability for after hours and weekend work


Preferred Qualifications



  • Associate's Degree or Bachelor's Degree
  • Has working knowledge of Part 121 operations
  • Has working knowledge of pilot training records
  • Experience with union collective bargaining agreement administration


Compensation:

Pay or hiring range: $23.00 - $28.00 USD per hour. This is the base compensation hiring range for this role.

Full-Time, Non-Exempt

Minneapolis, MN (onsite)

Work Environment:

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets.
