POSITION OVERVIEW

dormakaba is seeking a Field Operations Project Manager based in New York, NY. This role will be is responsible for managing all aspects of a new installation or site modernization project - on time and within budget - after a contract is signed.

HIRING SALARY RANGE: Base Salary $90,000 - $120,000 (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.) Please visit our career site for more information on benefits.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Make initial contact with customers, coordinate installation schedule, physically attend pre and post construction jobsite meetings, and ensure customer training is completed when project is finished
  • Ensure smooth transition of project from the sales team to the fulfillment team
  • Manage multiple projects of varying size while coordinating work through appropriate vendors, sub-contractors, and branch staff; order materials needed for projects
  • Prepare project budgets, schedule and approve expenditures, analyze variances, initiate corrective actions
  • Maintain documents electronically including closeout documentation
  • Work alongside a union-based group

WHAT WE REQUIRE

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1+ year work experience in the automatic door or construction industry

WHAT WE PREFER

  • 2+ years of hands-on experience in construction, automatic door installation, glazing, storefront systems work, and team supervision
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline, Construction Management, or Business Administration
  • PMP (Project Management Professional) certification
  • AAADM (American Association of Automatic Door Manufacturers) certification
