Overview

The Structural Professional Engineer is responsible for leading the structural design and analysis of a variety of building and infrastructure projects while collaborating closely with Parkhill's integrated MEP/S team. This position plays a key role in delivering innovative, cost-effective, and constructible solutions that meet client expectations and advance the firm's mission of building stronger communities.The Structural PE ensures technical excellence through all phases of design - from conceptual development and calculations to construction documentation and field support. This role will also coordinate with architects, other engineering disciplines, and project managers to maintain quality, schedule, and budget requirements.

Responsibilities

    Prepare plans, reports, and studies for review.
  • Direct technicians and EIT's for production of engineering documents for routine projects accurately and efficiently.
  • Interface with Clients when appropriate alongside Project Managers.
  • Visit construction sites to observe progress and determine general conformance to engineering plans and specifications.
  • Research design criteria, regulations, and standards as they relate to projects and incorporate them into design documents.
  • Mentor others in the proficient use of design software.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or architectural engineering required.
  • Passed the Professional Engineer exam and can provide a PE license number
  • The ability to use Revit/BIM is preferred.
  • A minimum of 10 years of structural building design experience in a consulting role is required.
