Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University Worldwide is an internationally recognized leader in online education. The Instructional Design and Development (IDD) team plays a key role in advancing teaching and learning across the Worldwide Campus and the Academic Innovation team. This interdisciplinary group includes software developers, UX research analysts, instructional designers, technologists, media producers, and digital media specialists. Together, they design and implement forward-thinking solutions that enhance learning experiences and address complex challenges in education.

About the Internship Program
The Instructional Design and Development Internship Program recognizes and nurtures emerging talent in the fields of instructional design, technology, and educational innovation. Interns gain practical, hands-on experience in higher education and contribute directly to projects critical to the IDD team's success. Each intern works closely with a mentor to identify individual learning goals and develop targeted project assignments.

Position Summary
The Instructional Design AI Systems Intern will collaborate with the IDD and Academic Innovation teams to explore, test, and document ways artificial intelligence can enhance the design and development of online courses. This role bridges instructional design and technical innovation, helping the department identify sustainable and ethical methods for integrating AI into workflows to improve efficiency, creativity, and learner engagement.

Required Education and Qualifications:

  • Master's degree; recent graduate or current student in Computer Science, Instruction, etc.
