Barnes Aerospace has an exciting career opportunity for an experienced Technical Training & Apprenticeship Programs leader. We are looking for a self-starting, self-motivated candidate who can own our Global Technical Training and Apprenticeship Program with an initial focus on establishing a comprehensive and robust process. This role is responsible for strategic planning, designing, and overseeing technical training and apprenticeship programs to develop employees' skills and knowledge, supporting their growth and longer career advancement across BA. Core Responsibilities:



  • Manage Global Technical Training, including:

    • Stakeholder collaboration: Partner with functional teams and senior leaders to assess needs and integrate training with business objectives.
    • Program development: Oversee the creation and delivery of technical training content, including curriculum, materials, and evaluations for various formats like live sessions, e-learning, and webinars.
    • Team leadership: Mentor technical trainers, providing guidance and support.
    • Performance and evaluation: Establish processes to measure the effectiveness of training programs and use feedback to drive continuous improvement.
    • Budget and resource management: Manage training budgets and resources effectively.
    • Vendor management: Engage with external vendors for supplemental training programs, systems, or content when needed.


  • Manage US Apprenticeship Program, including:

    • Program Development:Design and develop apprenticeship programs, collaborating with different functions to define skill and training needs.
    • Recruitment and Selection:Manage the recruitment and selection process for apprentices, including attracting candidates, reviewing applications, and conducting interviews.
    • Stakeholder Management:Coordinate with various internal departments and external stakeholders.
    • Program Management:Oversee the day-to-day operations of the apprenticeship program, including managing projects, budgets, and resources.
    • Compliance:Ensure the program adheres to all relevant regulations, such as those for federally registered apprenticeship programs.
    • Apprentice Support:Provide guidance and support to apprentices to help them develop the necessary skills and knowledge to succeed and become fully competent members of the workforce.
    • Performance Monitoring:Track and report on the overall performance of the program, make adjustments as needed to improve outcomes and ensure alignment with strategic goals.




Qualifications:



  • Minimum of 5+ years in technical training or a similar role.
  • Ability to design and discuss curriculum changes to meet requirements of training instruction.
  • Proven track record in developing and delivering technical training programs
  • Strong project management and leadership skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Collaborative customer focused team player, strong interpersonal skills with the ability to demonstrate high energy while balancing the need to practice patience for thoughtful execution.
  • Ability to drive results.
  • Strong relationship builder; ability to work collaboratively and to influence.
  • Is solution-oriented; thinks strategically and successfully implements change.
  • Ability to plan for the long-term while balancing the short-term needs of the organization.
  • Analytical and critical thinking skills, with thorough attention to detail.
