Typical Day: Providing all aspects of configuration management support for the customer. Working with the Team to determine best practices and how to implement the best practices. Tasks:
- Responsible for configuration management planning.
- Describes provisions for configuration identification, change control, configuration status accounting and configuration audits.
- Identifies and maintains the original configuration of requirements documentation, design documentation, and related documentation.
- Responsible for configuration change control and management of the change control board.
- Regulates the change process so that only approved and validated changes are incorporated into product documents.
- Responsible for configuration status accounting.
- Tracks all problems and changes in product documents and reports changes and current configuration.
- Responsible for configuration audits.
- Supports audits to verify that requirements of all baselines have been met.
- Supports quality assurance process audits.
- Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, be customer and detail-oriented and possess good decision-making abilities.
Required Qualifications: Education: Bachelor's Degree in computer science, information science, engineering, business, or related scientific or technical discipline or equivalent in accordance with Education/Experience. (Desired not required) Experience: One (1) Year of specialized experience directly related to the specified task area.
- Leads and/or executes engineering development process.
- Leads or participates in eliciting and/or deriving requirements from stated objectives and requirements. Designs input, outputs and processes for system components or modules. Integrates the system or systems of systems into a whole. Documents a system or system of system designs.
- Participates in all phases of development and engineering with emphasis on planning, analysis, development, integration, testing, documentation, and presentation of the engineering.
- Provides plans, performance management, capacity planning, testing and validation, benchmarking and staffing of an engineering management plan. Support root cause analysis.
- Interfaces with other team members to promote communications, status, progress, and problem solving to aide in meeting goals.
- Security clearance/IT access requirement - Secret.
Investigation requirement - NACLC (or higher). Desired Qualifications:
- 3 plus years working in a configuration management environment.
- Clearance: TS preferable.
Physical Requirements:
- Predominantly operates in an office environment.
- Some periods of time may be spent in computer room and communications equipment spaces for installation, testing, and troubleshooting.
- Some work (less than 5%) requires moving and lifting of heavy IT equipment.
Shift and Work Schedule:
- Day Shift
- Employees have the flexibility to work either 8 hours for 5 days and/or 10 hours for 4 days at the Project Manager's discretion.
