UC San Diego Health has held its Magnet status since 2011. The Department of Urology provides the highest quality urologic care, research, and education. The Department provides general urologic and subspecialty care in urology oncology, infertility and andrology, women's pelvic medicine and voiding dysfunction, urinary stone disease and endourology, reconstructive urology and urologic trauma and pediatric urology. The urology clinical program consists of over 20 faculty members, 5 fellows and 15 residents, 9 APPs and conducts ambulatory outpatient care in 7 clinical sites. The Department of Urology is seeking a skilled and motivated Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our team and support the inpatient urology service. This role will focus on discharge planning, inpatient and emergency department consultations, and the management of urology inpatients in collaboration with the resident and attending teams. In addition to inpatient responsibilities, the NP will provide ambulatory support by evaluating acute urologic concerns-particularly post-operative and post-discharge patients-to improve access and continuity of care. Responsibilities may evolve over time based on the needs and priorities of the department. While not required, a cover letter is highly recommended when applying to this position.
Pay Transparency Act Annual Full Pay Range: $167,687 - $234,649 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%) Hourly Equivalent: $80.31 - $112.38 Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The Hiring Pay Scale referenced in the job posting is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position. The Annual Full Pay Range may be broader than what the University anticipates to pay for this position, based on internal equity, budget, and collective bargaining agreements (when applicable). | |
