Join Our Team as a Strategic Sourcing Manager at Epiroc!

Develop and lead a high-performing Strategic Sourcing function that builds and sustains an optimized supplier base aligned with Epiroc Drilling Solutions' goals and long-term strategies. Provide strategic direction, leadership, and mentorship to the sourcing team to drive cost competitiveness, quality, delivery performance, and innovation. Partner cross-functionally to support the company's guiding philosophy of Lean Manufacturing through world-class sourcing practices and supplier relationship management.

Principal Responsibilities:



  • Lead, motivate, and develop the sourcing team to achieve organizational objectives while fostering collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure adherence to company policies, procedures, and ethical standards.
  • Develop, document, and train best-in-class sourcing processes that enhance efficiency, compliance, and alignment with corporate strategy.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify business needs and formulate sourcing strategies that support operational and financial goals.
  • Identify, evaluate, and integrate high-performing suppliers based on quality, cost, delivery, and capability.
  • Establish and maintain strong supplier relationships that drive performance, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Conduct supplier risk assessments and implement effective mitigation strategies.
  • Create, validate, and maintain cost models to guide decision-making and influence total cost of ownership.
  • Drive continuous cost reduction initiatives through negotiation, value analysis, and supplier development.
  • Ensure suppliers meet or exceed targets for quality, delivery, lead-time reduction, and productivity improvement.
  • Develop and manage supplier contracts to ensure favorable terms, reliable supply, and long-term value.
  • Ensure all suppliers uphold Epiroc's ethical, safety, and sustainability standards.
  • Coordinate with Epiroc's global sourcing teams to leverage economies of scale, share best practices, and align strategies for maximum value and efficiency.

Education & Experience:



  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business administration, or related field. Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in Strategic Sourcing function required. Proven track record of success in a leadership role. Must possess comprehensive knowledge of strategic sourcing initiatives, including spend analysis, strategy formulation, contract negotiations, strategic supplier relationship management, and risk management.
  • Up to 35% travel may be required to visit key domestic and international suppliers
  • Position requires strong written and verbal communication skills to negotiate with suppliers, work effectively with global team members, and present performance results to upper management.
  • Must possess exceptional integrity to handle supplier relationships objectively and to maintain confidentiality of shared information while dealing with competitive suppliers.
