Security Officer - Driver Auto Patrol

As a Security Officer - Driver Auto Patrol in Normal, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Auto, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas within an automotive-focused location, helping to deter security-related incidents through visible presence and attentive patrols. You will interact with employees and visitors, providing outstanding customer service and clear communication while responding to security-related situations. This is a driving post, so a valid driver's license is required. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, as well as emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the automotive facility and its perimeter to help to deter potential issues and support a secure environment.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and other critical areas to help to deter unauthorized access or suspicious activity.
• Communicate clearly with team members, visitors, and/or employees to address concerns or report incidents as needed.
• Complete required documentation and reports related to patrols, incidents, and observations while on duty.
• Follow all Allied Universal guidelines and client-specific instructions while performing security-related duties at the location.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Experience in loss prevention is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Experience with alarm panels is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
