What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, following security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and respond to emergency situations as appropriate.
• Conduct armed patrols of the healthcare location, both inside the facility and around the perimeter, to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
• Respond in a calm, problem-solving manner to incidents and critical situations, including those that may require emergency response.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and other sensitive areas within the healthcare location to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with staff, visitors, and patients while upholding Allied Universal standards and protocols.
• Document incidents, observations, and any security-related concerns in accordance with site and Allied Universal procedures.
• Support healthcare staff and assist with security-related inquiries or issues as they arise during assigned shifts.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least 1 year of experience in armed security-related, law enforcement, or military roles.
• Hold an Act 235 qualification if applying in Pennsylvania.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Have customer service experience is preferred.
• A valid firearms permit is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security-related training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
