As a Security Guard - Government Patrol Foot Rounds in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol designated government locations, helping to deter security-related incidents and contribute to a secure atmosphere. What You'll Do:

• Provide excellent customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and following site-specific policies, including participating in emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, supporting the needs of the location.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the premises and surrounding perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential issues.
• Maintain detailed records and logs of activities, observations, and/or incidents encountered during patrols.
• Communicate promptly and professionally with Allied Universal management, site personnel, and/or visitors as needed.
• Observe and report any unusual or suspicious behavior, hazards, or circumstances to support a secure environment for all occupants.
• Remain alert to changing conditions and respond to evolving situations in accordance with established procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
• Applicants must provide proof of a high school diploma or General Education Diploma.
• A valid guard card or license is preferred.
• Experience with access control and/or badge systems is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
