Job Description




As a Security Officer - Armed Government Patrol in Irvine, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol government locations to help to deter security-related incidents and maintain an orderly environment. You will conduct regular patrols, remain highly visible to support security-related efforts, and interact professionally with all individuals on site. This armed post requires a strong focus on communication and customer service, while upholding the values of agility, reliability, and integrity. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and participating in emergency response activities as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations at the government location in a calm, problem-solving manner, taking appropriate action based on established protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the premises and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities and identify potential security-related concerns.
  • Monitor for suspicious activity and report any irregularities to Allied Universal management and/or designated contacts at the location.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate logs of patrols, incidents, and security-related observations as required by Allied Universal and the location's specific protocols.
  • Collaborate with local law enforcement and/or emergency services when necessary, following chain of command and communication protocols.
  • Adhere to all Allied Universal policies and procedures, as well as any location-specific guidelines for armed posts.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Possess a valid Armed Guard Card or License.
  • Have at least 5 years of security-related experience.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Experience with handcuffs, pepper spray, and/or baton is preferred.
  • Possess a Guard Card or License is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security-related training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
