Summary:

This is an office-based, Monday-Friday position supporting the Orthopedics & Sports Medicine team in Brunswick. The Athletic Trainer will work as part of a highly collaborative, multidisciplinary team, partnering with Orthopedic Surgeons, Sports Medicine Physicians, Physician Associates, and administrative and clinical support staff to deliver exceptional patient care and ensure smooth clinic operations.

  • Growth opportunities: Contribute to clinical quality initiatives and key performance indicators (KPIs), gaining experience in process improvement and outcomes tracking.
  • Referral review and triage
  • Casting, splinting, and taping
  • Patient assessment, via phone and in person
  • DME fitting & education (including crutch training)
  • Patient education and care coordination (home exercise, pre-operative, and post-operative care)

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

  1. Education: Bachelor's Degree in Athletic Training required (graduation from CAATE accredited program). Master's degree preferred.
  2. License/Certifications: Current applicable state(s) temporary/permanent license as an Athletic Trainer required or in compliance with the state practice act. Current BLS certification required or must obtain within 30 days of start date. BOC certification. NBCOT certification (eligible or application in process). Casting certification required or needs to obtain within six months of start date.
  3. Experience: One year of experience as a Certified Athletic Trainer preferred.
