Job Description




As a Security Professional - Unarmed Cultural Institution Patrol in Dallas, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Cultural Institutions, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol designated areas within a cultural institution, helping to deter security-related incidents and maintaining a welcoming environment for guests, staff, and visitors. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as required.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following protocols established for cultural institution locations.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and promote a secure environment.
  • Observe and report any unusual or suspicious activities, hazards or maintenance issues encountered during patrols within the cultural institution environment.
  • Maintain a visible presence at the location to help to deter potential disturbances and provide assistance as needed to staff and visitors.
  • Support access control procedures, including verifying credentials and monitoring entry and exit points at the location.
  • Complete detailed and accurate reports regarding daily activities, incidents, and/or any security-related matters encountered during shifts.
  • Collaborate with Allied Universal management and client representatives to address ongoing security-related concerns at the location.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must have 3 or more years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or possess a college degree.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Must have 5 or more years of security-related experience.
  • Experience using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
