What this job involves:

Join JLL as an Occupancy Planner and become a key strategic partner in optimizing corporate real estate portfolios for leading organizations. You'll drive space utilization excellence through data-driven seat allocation planning, stack and block exercises, and occupancy validation that maximizes space efficiency while aligning with corporate guidelines. This role places you at the center of workplace transformation, where you'll collaborate with Corporate Real Estate teams, Business Unit leadership, and Project Management to deliver innovative space solutions that reduce costs and enhance employee experiences. Your expertise will directly contribute to JLL's reputation as the global leader in corporate real estate services, while you develop critical skills in space planning, data analytics, and stakeholder management within a dynamic, supportive team environment.

What your day-to-day will look like:
  • Space Planning & Analysis: Develop seat allocation plans, stack and block exercises, and occupancy scenarios using AutoCAD and Google Sheets to maximize space utilization while ensuring compliance with corporate guidelines and space standards.
  • Data Management & Reporting: Prepare and update project status reports comparing actual versus projected seat demand, track supply and capacity metrics, and forecast inventory changes using advanced spreadsheet functions and CAFM systems.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with Corporate Real Estate teams, Business Unit leadership, Corporate Finance, and Project Management to collect headcount forecasts, resolve discrepancies, and align planning strategies with business objectives
  • Client Consultation: Recommend, educate, and enforce space policies and procedures while identifying and notifying clients of requested exceptions to established standards and protocols. Migration Planning: Work with move coordination and facility management teams to develop migration plans, conduct facility audits, and support seamless workplace transitions.
  • Cross-Portfolio Strategy: Collaborate with occupancy planning team members to ensure integrated campus and portfolio-wide strategy development and implementation.
  • Utilization Analysis: Present space utilization data and metrics to drive productive space decisions, reconcile top-down and bottom-up projections, and support annual planning horizons
Required Qualifications:
  • Education & Experience: Bachelor's degree in Real Estate, Finance, Architecture, Design, Construction Management, or related field with 3-5 years of experience in corporate environment
  • Technical Proficiency: Advanced skills in Google Sheets (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, complex calculations) and AutoCAD for basic test-fits and square footage calculations
  • Space Planning Knowledge: Experience with interior office renovations and strategic-level space/occupancy planning in corporate environments
  • Communication Excellence: Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to interact effectively with executive-level internal and external clients
  • Project Management: Proven ability to work independently, multi-task, manage time effectively to meet deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities and requests
  • Presentation Skills: Proficiency in Google Suite with ability to consolidate data and floor plans into compelling Google Slides presentations for clients and business units
  • Analytical Mindset: Strong problem-solving abilities with capacity to ask strategic questions, understand underlying client needs, and develop proactive, innovative solutions
Preferred Qualifications:
  • CAFM System Experience: Familiarity with Computer-Aided Facility Management systems for space and occupancy data management
  • Strategic Planning Background: Experience supporting corporate real estate strategy development and implementation at enterprise level
  • Industry Knowledge: Understanding of corporate real estate best practices, space standards, and workplace trends including flexible and collaborative work environments
  • Advanced Analytics: Experience with data visualization tools and business intelligence platforms for enhanced reporting and presentation capabilities
  • Change Management: Background supporting organizational transformation and workplace change initiatives
  • Client Relationship Management: Demonstrated success building and maintaining relationships with diverse stakeholder groups across organizational levels

Estimated compensation for this position:

85,800.00 - 124,000.00 USD per year

This range is an estimate and actual compensation may differ. Final compensation packages are determined by various considerations including but not limited to candidate qualifications, location, market conditions, and internal considerations.
