Position Summary |
This Clinic Office Specialist position provides administrative support to the Hearing & Communication Center (
HCC) Clinic Management and Clinic Faculty working at clinic locations by planning and carrying out daily work activities and responsibilities of the clinic, based on the priorities and judgement of the
HCC Clinic Manager. This position works closely with the Clinical Director and Clinical Practice Manager to manage the daily workload, organizing duties based on the priorities and needs of the clinic, and being responsible for performing a variety of administrative duties.
Day-to-day responsibilities include:
- Scheduling patients
- Charge entry
- Building and Equipment Maintenance
- Purchasing Supplies
- Financial/Record Keeping |
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements |
High school diploma or equivalency and one year of related office experience; or equivalent combination of training and experience. |
Required Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience |
Experience providing administrative support to multiple employees and stakeholders.
Experience handling confidential information and communicating with people in a professional, courteous manner.
Excellent phone skills.
Ability to multi-task. |
Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience |
Previous work experience in a clinical setting.
Experience with the electronic health record system, Epic.
Specific functions in Epic include: Cadence and Schegistrar training, charge entry and use of Front Desk functions.
Experience with ConnectCarolina finance systems: webtravel, vouchers and Pcard.
Ability to manage daily workflow as well as long term planning and scheduling. |
