Requirements Job Overview The Loading Dock Manager, Facilities Management - Georgetown University Capitol Campus, oversees all daily operations of the loading dock at 111 Massachusetts Avenue. This role ensures the safe, efficient, and compliant flow of deliveries, shipments, and waste removal for the building. The manager coordinates dock scheduling, supervises dock staff, enforces safety protocols, and partners with building tenants and vendors to support Capitol Campus operations. The position exists to provide secure, reliable access to the dock facility and to maintain order in a high-traffic environment. Additional duties include but are not limited to:
Work Interactions The Loading Dock Manager reports directly to the Senior Director of Facilities Management for the Capitol Campus. The role collaborates closely with Facilities Operations, Public Safety, and Custodial Services, as well as building tenants and external vendors. The manager ensures efficient logistical support for the university's mission and acts as a point of contact for all loading dock activities at 111 Massachusetts Avenue. This position may supervise staff and student employees assigned to dock operations. This position is designated Georgetown University Emergency Personnel and is required to report to work during campus closures, emergencies, or inclement weather in order to maintain essential building operations. Pay Range: The projected salary or hourly pay range for this position which represents the full range of anticipated compensation is: $21.16 - $35.29 Compensation is determined by a number of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate's individual qualifications, experience, education, skills, and certifications, as well as the University's business needs and external factors.
