ROLE OVERVIEW

PTC is seeking an experienced Enterprise Architect to lead the design, implementation, and transformation of large-scale PLM-ERP-MES integrations within our global PLM Segment Hub. The Enterprise Architect will serve as both a technical expert and strategic leader, overseeing the design, optimization, and promotion of best practices for integrating Windchill PLM with enterprise ERP and MES systems and processes. This individual will offer comprehensive subject matter expertise in enterprise PLM, ERP, and MES systems and processes, acting as a trusted advisor for PTC, its clients, and partners regarding architecture and business strategies at the convergence of these platforms. This position plays a critical role in shaping architectural strategy for integrated Windchill deployments across global strategic accounts, ensuring alignment with business goals, technical standards, and customer success objectives.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Best Practice Development & Scale

  • Spearhead the development and global scaling of best practices for PLM-ERP-MES integration, collaborating with our Product Management, Professional Services, and Technical Enablement teams as well as PTC's System Integrator ecosystem.
  • Establish and promote best practices for business process transformation and organizational change management in relation to PLM-ERP-MES integrations, supporting cohesive product development and industrialization strategies.

Enterprise Architecture Leadership & Strategy Customer Engagement

  • Support development of robust end-to-end integration strategies between Windchill PLM and ERP and MES systems, including BOM transformation and synchronization, change management, configuration management, manufacturing and process planning, supply chain, quality, service, and regulatory data exchange.
  • Design and manage enterprise master data models for optimized enterprise processes, system interactions, and cross-discipline data associativity.
  • Define and evolve the Windchill enterprise architecture strategies, ensuring scalability, performance, and alignment with Digital Thread and enterprise transformation initiatives.
  • Provide architectural and governance oversight for strategic customer engagements across global accounts for product and manufacturing data quality, lifecycle traceability, and reuse across PLM, ERP, and MES systems. Recommend and validate frameworks, accelerators, and best practices for efficient and successful enterprise implementations.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Play a leadership/advisory role for PLM and enterprise architecture in new product introduction deliverables and readiness planning for go-to-market functions, technical enablement content and certification development, and product feedback loop processes.
  • Work closely with Product Management, R&D, the Enterprise Deployment Center, and our customer-facing field teams to influence product direction and ensure world-class customer experience.

Community of Practice & Partner Advisory

  • Evangelize PLM-ERP-MES and industry-specific expertise through the PLM Community of Practice and PTC's Partner Network by sharing technical insights, customer stories, and best practice materials.
  • Mentor PTC Professional Services and Partner teams on leading enterprise integration practices.

AI Innovation & Adoption

  • Support the evolving role of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in PTC solutions, including the integration of AI-driven capabilities into Windchill PLM, systems integration, and data orchestration.
  • Advise on the adoption and implementation of AI technologies to enhance customer business processes, data analytics, automation, and decision support.

Required Qualifications

  • 15+ years of experience in engineering and/or manufacturing system architecture with expertise in PLM, ERP, AND/OR MES systems and processes spanning product development, planning, manufacturing/production, and quality.
  • Proven success in leading or facilitating PLM AND/OR ERP deployments as an implementer or administrator.
  • Experience with major PLM (Windchill, Teamcenter, Enovia, etc.) and ERP (SAP S/4HANA, Oracle Fusion/NetSuite, Dynamics 365, Infor, etc.) platform integrations and strong working knowledge of APIs and integration frameworks for enterprise system orchestration.
  • Deep understanding of enterprise data models, system configuration/customization, and deployment strategies.
  • Strong grasp of master data governance, Digital Thread, and Digital Product Traceability principles.
  • Strong project/program management capabilities; able to manage multiple priorities in a fastpaced global environment.
  • Excellent problem solving, presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Comfortable engaging at the Csuite level with ability to build trusted advisor relationships.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong working knowledge of ERP business processes, technical capabilities, and implementation frameworks, with emphasis on SAP solutions.
  • Experience developing and applying best practices for enterprise solutions.
  • Strong business acumenand familiarity with value selling principles.

PTC's Customer Success (CS) Segment Hubs are specialized global teams of domain experts dedicated to accelerating customer outcomes and ensuring exceptional experiences throughout the entire lifecycle. Within this framework, the PLM Segment Hub - focused on PTC's Product Lifecycle Management domain - leads the charge in championing PLM best practices globally. It equips our field teams and partners with the tools, knowledge, and mentorship needed to deliver world-class PLM outcomes, and it engages directly on high-impact customer projects to ensure value realization and success in every PLM deployment.

PTC carefully considers a wide range of compensation factors, which include a candidate's background and experience, in determining salary for a position. Compensation will vary based on these factors, but PTC anticipates the salary range for this position to be between $ 136,000 - $200,000. The actual pay may be lower or higher depending on a candidate's skills, qualifications, experience, and location and may also include the opportunity to earn a discretionary bonus. Additionally, every PTC employee has the opportunity to become a PTC shareholder through our employee share purchase program which allows employees to purchase discounted PTC stock and, for eligible roles, an equity grant.
