Job Overview

The Safety and Environmental Manager will be a senior safety resource typically located and responsible for manufacturing sites. The role will support the safety policies of the organization, support and be an integral part of the Consolidated Management System, and champion safety during ISO & KORE audits. The role will also maintain compliance with local, state, and federal safety and environmental regulations. Interact and support leadership on site and at corporate to reduce the severity and frequency of injuries and crashes, lead investigations and promote new projects that reduce hazards on site.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Support the implementation/sustainability of the Consolidated Management System, with emphasis on the Safety and Environmental Management Systems.
  • Oversee and ensure Regulatory Compliance (OSHA, EPS, NFPA, etc.) as well as Coca-Cola Company requirements throughout the manufacturing site.
  • Provide interpretation of applicable regulations and Coca-Cola requirements and their impact on the location operations to management
  • Lead and drive the accident review process to ensure follow up, preventive actions, and root cause analysis as part of the Continual Improvement Program (PHRED)
  • Support and participate on the Site Incident Management & Crisis Team by being available at all times to conduct drills, respond to emergency situations 24/7, and to lead these emergency responses as applicable

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

  • Safety and Environmental in Plant Manufacturing
  • Federal and State Regulatory Compliance, e.g., OSHA, EPS, NFPA, etc.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 3 to 5 years of Environmental Safety Manufacturing experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate degree, or equivalent work experience
  • 3 years of college or technical school

Work Environment

  • Administrative work in office
  • Frequent visits to Manufacturing plants; working on plant floor operational areas
  • Travel to other manufacturing locations, work off shifts and weekends
