As a Sr. Associate, Facilities Engineer supporting the MTO Chemical Team in Johns Creek, GA, a typical day will include:
Perform specialized technical tasks and conduct research to optimize project outcomes. Support planning, budgeting, and scheduling of facility modifications, including cost estimates. Assist in coordinating building space allocation, layout, and communication services. Ensure adherence to health and safety standards. Support management of contracts and contractors. Engage with insurance providers to develop and execute risk reduction projects such as fire prevention. Contribute to facility master planning and manage the Real Estate portfolio, including lease and transaction management, and financial oversight/alignment for lease and maintenance costs. Ensure efficient and effective facility operations. Perform complex tasks requiring specialized training or education, applying scientific and engineering principles to solve problems and innovate. Stay current with advances in the field for agile problem-solving. Adhere to GxP regulations by following SOPs and maintaining accurate and complete documentation. Ensure rigorous quality control and complete all required training. Provide technical and engineering support and troubleshooting advice to maintenance and various operational areas. Develop and implement predictive/preventative maintenance programs to ensure facility operations are in compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations. Support asset management and lifecycle planning for facility equipment and systems. Implement and manage energy-saving initiatives and other sustainability programs to improve facility efficiency. Subject Matter Expert in the design and operation of industrial equipment including but not limited to air compressors, chillers, cooling towers, piping, pumping, HVAC, dehumidification, and process cooling systems and management of mechanical integrity (including tanks, pressure vessels, and piping). Develop and implement plans for continuous improvement of plant utilities, processes, and process controls. Deliver a strategic reliability-centered maintenance approach to optimizing asset life and productivity through documented asset strategies.

Preferred Experience:
Experience in facility maintenance leading capital projects, overseeing mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, managing budgets and vendors, and implementing sustainability initiatives Experience monitoring building systems for optimal performance, efficiency, and reliability, using systems like Building Management Systems (BMS). Experience developing asset strategies (time-based inspection/replace, and condition-based tasks). Manage the maintenance, repairs, and upgrades of building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire/life safety systems. Experience with computer maintenance management systems (CMMS) preferably IBM Maximo. Advanced skills in basic personal computer software (Microsoft applications); Experience using Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook. Strong communication (written, oral, and interpersonal) skills. Ability to lead and be part of cross-functional teams.
