The Role

QuidelOrtho is seeking a The SAP Security Administrator is responsible for managing, maintaining, and improving the security posture of QuidelOrtho's SAP landscape, including ECC, S/4HANA, and other integrated modules. This hands-on role ensures that SAP user provisioning, role design, and system access are effectively implemented in alignment with compliance and enterprise security standards. The position will also support the broader Identity and Access Management (IAM) domain-collaborating with IAM architects and engineers on topics such as role lifecycle automation, identity governance policies, and

integrations with SailPoint and PAM tools including Delinea.

This position is remote eligible with flexibility on time zone coverage.

The Responsibilities

  • Administer SAP security roles, profiles, and user authorizations across multiple SAP modules and environments.
  • Maintain and improve SAP access controls including SOD (segregation of duties) in accordance with internal policies and audit requirements (SOX, GDPR).
  • Work closely with business units and application teams to define, test, and implement SAP roles supporting operational efficiency and least-privilege access.
  • Analyze and remediate security risks, audit findings, and user access issues related to SAP systems.
  • Collaborate with IAM engineers on integrations with enterprise IAM tools such as SailPoint and PAM solutions including Delinea.
  • Support cross-functional projects involving both SAP and non-SAP systems to ensure unified identity and access management.
  • Participate in user access reviews, recertification campaigns, and policy enforcement activities as needed.
  • Document procedures and train support staff to ensure operational continuity.
  • Perform other work-related duties as assigned.

The Individual

Required:

  • This position is not currently eligible for visa sponsorship.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum of 3+ years of experience in SAP Security administration (ECC, S/4HANA, GRC, BI, Fiori, etc.).
  • Understanding of SAP role design principles, authorization concepts (PFCG), and SOD frameworks.
  • Experience supporting compliance frameworks (e.g., SOX, GDPR).
  • Familiarity with Identity Governance and Administration (IGA) platforms, preferably SailPoint.
  • Familiarity with Privileged Access Management (PAM) tools such as Delinea or CyberArk.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Experience with ticketing systems (e.g., ServiceNow) and change management processes.
  • Ability to travel up to 10%.

Preferred:

  • Experience integrating SAP with SailPoint or other IGA platforms.
  • Experience with SAP GRC Access Control Suite.
  • Familiarity with SAP HANA security and Fiori Launchpad.
  • Certifications: SAP Certified Technology Associate (SAP Authorization), CISSP, or equivalent.
  • Exposure to Azure AD or other external identity providers a plus.

The Work Environment

No strenuous physical activity, though occasional light lifting of files and related materials is required. 30% of time in meetings, working with team, or talking on the phone, 70% of the time at the desk on computer, doing analytical work. Ability to work some after hours or weekend work depending on deadlines. Minimal travel required. Travel includes airplane, automobile travel and overnight hotel.

Salary Transparency

The salary range for this position takes into account a wide range of factors including education, experience, knowledge, skills, geography, and abilities of the candidate, in addition to internal equity and alignment with market data. At QuidelOrtho, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. The salary range for this position is $110,00 to $125,000 and is bonus eligible.
