Our R&D Team is looking for a Packaging Development Co-op for the Summer of 2026! All Co-Ops start June 9th, 2026 and will be 6 months long.

Position location: We're all about flexibility! This will be a hybrid role based out of our corporate headquarters in Lakeville, MA with Mondays & Fridays remote.

What You Will Do & What You Will Learn:

The Packaging Development Co-op will be responsible for supporting Ocean Spray's Packaging Development team in a variety of packaging initiatives. These initiatives include new packaging designs, cost savings initiatives, packaging design modifications and manufacturing facility support. The required support from this position includes; assisting in packaging design, coordinating and performing line trials and lab testing, creating and managing specifications, management of packaging project timelines and communicating project status to internal business partners.

In this role, the Packaging Development Co-Op would work closely with Marketing, Procurement, Manufacturing, Engineering, Product Development and external packaging suppliers.

As an intern, you will be exposed to the following key components through orientation meetings, shadowing and on the job training.

  • Packaging component design

  • Packaging lab testing

  • Performing and reporting on packaging line trials

  • Consumer Insights

  • Sales and customer requirements

  • Packaging specifications

Interns are assigned objectives that support key business initiatives and are provided an outline of the deliverables and expected measurable results. Feedback against these objectives is provided mid-way through and upon completion of the internship.

What You'll Need:

  • Must be a current student enrolled in a Bachelor's Packaging Science Degree Program

  • Completed Packaging Materials I & II

  • Completed Packaging Distribution

  • Strong communication Skills

  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Programs (e.g. MS Excel, MS Word)
