Widener University's College of Arts & Sciences, Computer Science Department is accepting applications for highly qualified Adjunct faculty to teach 2 (two) sections of Computer Structure in Spring 2026. This course is an in-depth study of a particular assembly language (currently the x86). The aim of the course is to illuminate the structure and behavior of computers. It covers arithmetic, logic, stack operations, the general organization of a CPU, main memory, and peripheral systems. The structure of executable files, linking, interfacing assembler with a high-level language and the operating system, and protected instructions are also discussed. Supervised laboratory exercises are used to illustrate all the main topics of the course. Some familiarity with a high-level programming language is desirable. Adjunct faculty is expected to teach a specified course as assigned; prepare course materials; and provide support and guidance to students. No prerequisites. 4 semester hours Job Qualifications: Required: * Master's Degree in Computer Science or closely related majors.
