Summary:

The Senior Manager, Global Tax Planning leads the design, analysis, and execution of global tax planning initiatives and is responsible for developing strategies to optimize the company's global effective tax rate, cash tax profile, and operational structure, while ensuring compliance with applicable U.S. and international tax rules. This position will play a critical role in advising on cross-border transactions, legal entity reorganizations, financing structures, transfer pricing strategies, and legislative developments (including Pillar Two). Reporting to the Vice President Tax and Treasurer, the ideal candidate has deep technical knowledge of U.S. international tax, global structuring, and cross-border planning, with proven experience delivering value through practical, business-focused tax solutions in a growing multinational environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Global Tax Planning & Structuring
  • Lead the development and implementation of tax-efficient global structures, including reorganizations, financing, supply chain planning, and cash repatriation strategies.
  • Evaluate and execute planning opportunities related to foreign tax credits, GILTI, FDII, BEAT, and Subpart F.
  • Partner with Treasury and Legal on intercompany financing, cash movement, and capital structure optimization.
  • Analyze the tax impact of acquisitions, dispositions, joint ventures, and other M&A activity, including due diligence and integration planning.

  • Strategic Advisory & Business Support
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership on tax consequences of business initiatives, contracts, and commercial transactions.
  • Model the long-term impacts of global tax reform, OECD Pillar Two, and other legislative developments.
  • Collaborate with Finance, Legal, and Operations teams to align tax strategies with business objectives.
  • Provide insights on potential risks, exposures, and opportunities to support decision-making at the executive level.
  • Transfer Pricing
  • Lead transfer pricing compliance and partner with site controllers and external advisors on documentation requirements, including data collection and external advisor coordination.
  • Partner with the accounting and FP&A teams to prepare and review transfer pricing and other tax related entries.
  • Support intercompany policy design to align with evolving global tax rules and business operations.
  • Build and maintain transfer pricing models to ensure alignment with intercompany policy.
  • U.S. & Global Provision and Compliance Support
  • Support U.S. federal and state tax compliance.
  • Lead preparation and review of U.S. international tax calculations, including GILTI, FDII, foreign tax credits, Subpart F, and BEAT.
  • Work closely with tax reporting team to ensure accurate provision and return reporting of planning transactions.
  • Support return-to-provision analysis and documentation of tax positions for both U.S. and foreign jurisdictions.
  • Ensure planning transactions are implemented with appropriate documentation, controls, and audit-ready support.
  • Process, Technology & Continuous Improvement
  • Develop and maintain financial models to evaluate planning alternatives, cash tax impacts, and sensitivity analyses.
  • Identify process improvements, technology solutions, and best practices to streamline planning analysis and implementation.
  • Stay current on global tax trends, industry benchmarks, and competitive practices.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

Education / Experience

Education & Certification

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; Master's in Taxation or JD preferred.
  • CPA preferred.

Experience

  • 8+ years of progressive corporate tax experience, including public company experience with strong emphasis on global tax planning and U.S. international tax.
  • Public accounting and/or multinational corporate experience strongly preferred.
  • Deep technical knowledge of U.S. international tax provisions (Subpart F, GILTI, FDII, BEAT), foreign tax credit planning, and OECD Pillar Two.
  • Experience with M&A due diligence, integration, and cross-border restructuring.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems and automation tools (Power Query, Power BI); advanced Excel modeling skills required.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Proven ability to manage and develop cross-functional teams and complex projects.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • Work is performed indoors in a climate-controlled environment.
  • Remote position (Pacific or Mountain Time Zones preferred).
  • Occasional travel up to 10-15%, including to corporate headquarters as required.

    Education: Bachelor's in Accounting, Finance, or related field; Master's in Taxation or JD preferred. CPA preferred.

    Compensation Range: $128,404.000 to $192,606.000 USD Many factors are considered in compensation decisions, including but not limited to skills, certifications, licensures, experience, training, incumbent data, and other business needs.
