Position Description
Santee Cooper is hiring for a Manager in each of the following areas:
Manager Area Distribution Engineering
This position is responsible for supervising, coordinating, and directing the engineering design for small-scale construction projects within the Horry-Georgetown retail service territory. It ensures professional, reliable, economical, and prompt electrical service for all customers in areas of responsibility. Administrative duties include the supervision of Engineer I, Engineer II, Engineering Associates, and Technical Associates and the development of prescribed methods and standard procedures in engineering applications, while ensuring that operating and capital expenditures are in compliance with the departmental budget.
Manager Distribution Technical:
Responsible for providing leadership and supervision of Distribution Relay, and Substation Maintenance units, including engineering and technical support personnel, in order to effectively manage corporate resources and maintain equipment reliability.
Manager Distribution Planning:
Provides supervision to the Distribution Planning unit in producing the unit's plans and studies, including the Ten-Year Distribution Capacity Plan, Two-Year Distribution System Improvement Plan, distribution contingency study, capacitor management, capacitor placement study, overcurrent protection coordination studies, distribution voltage regulator settings, distribution feeder load balancing, and transformer load management. These activities ensure the safe, reliable, and efficient operation and expansion of the electrical power distribution system.
Position Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering from an EAC/ABET accredited University or College +10 years experience required. Professional Engineering license required.
Compensation Information:
$127,520 - $159,390 (min.-mid.)
