JOB OVERVIEW: to oversee all aspects of the operations. Duties include managing staff, overseeing facility maintenance, developing budgets and creating marketing and promotional campaigns. Staff-related duties could entail hiring, training and scheduling associates. Position has responsibility for supervising and coordinating activities of associates delivering spa services, including salon, skin care, program coordination, reservations, reception desk, massage and locker room areas. Position focuses on ensuring guest and employee satisfaction and achieving the operating budget.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

* Ensure Spa success by hiring and training staff members to deliver service in accordance with luxury hotel standards.
* Hold regular staff meetings and trainings to assure consistent service standards are met.
* Work closely with the marketing team to promote the Spa and all special events/activities.
* Oversee facility maintenance.
* Attend month end meetings with accounting to review P&L.
* Participate in creating budgets.
* Manage manhours to business levels to remain in line with the budget.
* Actively monitor spending and labor to maintain financials and forecast.
* Attend daily operation meeting.
* Review weekly schedules for efficient staffing levels.
* Actively participate in all hotel initiatives.
* Update Book4Time schedules and activities as needed to maintain a current database.
* Create seasonal Spa specials and wellness events.
* Perform annual staff performance appraisals.
* Set retail sales goals to drive revenue.
* Create incentives for staff to drive engagement.
* Ensure turn away business and repeat guests are accurately tracked by the Spa Reception team through the Spa Software.
* Maintain an effective retail stock control system including monthly inventory and place orders to par level.
* Maintain strong treatment and retail knowledge with the ability to accurately describe benefits and prices.
* Handle any guest complaints promptly and effectively.
* Respond to all guest inquiries promptly, efficiently, and professionally.
* Ensure that Spa presentation and ambiance are impeccable.
* Maintain the cleanliness, presentation, and organization of the reception area at all times.
* Liaise with other departments to ensure guest needs are met and communicated.
* Maintain a strong knowledge of the hotel and facilities available.
* Primary duty will be performing work that is directly related to the hotel's business operations and customers. This includes exercising discretion and independent judgment with respect to matters of significance.
* All other duties as requested.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

Must have the ability to communicate in English. Maintain a professional appearance and manner at all times. Can communicate well with guests. Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner. Must be willing to "pitch-in" and help co- workers with their job duties and be a team player. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with associates, customers and patrons. Local and/or State Certification or License is required. Minimum 200 hours massage education and 2 years professional experience preferred.

You should be adaptable to change in your work area and in hotel procedures with a willingness to learn new skills and/or improve existing ones, have the ability to solve routine problems that occur on the job and ask for help whenever you are not sure how to do something.

Safety & Security:

The safety and security of our guests and associates is of utmost importance to Crescent. Every Crescent associate should adhere to the hotel security policies and procedures, particularly regarding key controls, lifting heavy objects, using chemicals, and effectively reporting safety hazards and safety concerns.
