Job Description:

  • Knowledge, skills, education, and/or experience: Knowledge of office methods, practices, routines, machines, and equipment. Knowledge of data collection, compilation, and analysis techniques/methodologies. Knowledge of the objectives, programs, administrative policies, methods, and procedures
  • Mandatory skills/certification(s) Requirement: Two (2) years of experience in reviewing, verifying, authorizing, and/or providing information and assistance of a technical or fiscal nature


Desired Skills:

  • May substitute an Associate's degree for experience.


Role & Responsibilities:

  • Under the direction of a Supervising Investigator, will learn how to review bills submitted by service providers for accuracy and for relationship to the relevant criminal offense; communicate with service providers such as hospitals, physicians, mental health providers; evaluate insurance information and benefits; process ongoing counseling expenses for payment in accordance with the agencies governing rules and regulations; and perform other related duties as required.
  • Under supervision, this position involves learning to review and verify service provider bills for accuracy and relevance to criminal offenses, communicate with medical and mental health providers, evaluate insurance and benefits, process counseling expense payments in compliance with agency rules, and perform related duties as assigned.
