The Principal Dietitian Supervisor is assigned full professional and administrative responsibility for the UC San Diego La Jolla Clinical Nutrition staff of Registered Dietitians and Diet Technicians. Responsible for the coordination of HR functions, scheduling, staff evaluations, competency assessments, in-servicing, quality improvement projects, collaboration with leaders and staff to solve complex problems, and demonstration of leadership on interdisciplinary teams/committees. This position is responsible for adhering to regulatory requirements and ensuring all policies and procedures are being met. The Principal Dietitian Supervisor will be involved in the planning, preparation, and serving of therapeutic and modified diets in collaboration with food service. This position will provide nutrition care for complex nutrition issues for patients requiring specific professional knowledge and special needs. Contributes to the dietetic internship through the evaluation and development of curriculum for assigned area, supervision of dietetic interns, and teaching assigned classes. Key responsibilities:
Pay Transparency Act Annual Full Pay Range: $97,200 - $182,000 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%) Hourly Equivalent: $46.55 - $87.16 Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The Hiring Pay Scale referenced in the job posting is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position. The Annual Full Pay Range may be broader than what the University anticipates to pay for this position, based on internal equity, budget, and collective bargaining agreements (when applicable). |
