Forvis Mazars Capital Advisors, LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary of Forvis Mazars, LLP, is seeking an Associate to join the investment banking team. In this position, you will gain hands-on experience across all phases of sell-side, buy-side and capital-raising transactions, expand your knowledge and build collaborative relationships within the practice and with clients. Further, you will have meaningful support from firm leadership for substantial professional development.
What You Will Do:
  • Conduct industry research and perform financial analyses to support client engagements
  • Perform valuation analyses using methodologies such as comparable company analysis, leveraged buyout (LBO), discounted cash flow (DCF), and precedent transactions
  • Develop financial models to evaluate debt and equity financing alternatives
  • Facilitate transaction due diligence processes and manage information flow among transaction stakeholders
  • Create and maintain materials for marketing presentations, confidential memorandums, and internal resources
  • Develop and refine lists of potential buyers, investors, or acquisition targets
  • Prepare and deliver both standard and customized presentations and pitch materials to clients
  • Pursue professional development through deal execution, special projects, training, and business development initiatives
  • Collaborate with senior bankers on client proposals and transaction execution to gain hands-on experience
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics, or another discipline with a strong quantitative focus
  • 2+ years of prior investment banking or other finance / accounting positions involving M&A or corporate finance activities such as private equity, transaction services, commercial banking, or business valuation
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Preferred Qualifications:
  • MBA with relevant concentration
  • 3+ years or more of prior investment banking or other finance/accounting positions involving M&A or corporate finance activities such as private equity, transaction services, or business valuation
  • Current and Active Series 79 or Series 63 license, or a clear commitment to obtaining within a specified timeframe
  • Prior experience with platforms such as Salesforce, Pitchbook, S&P Capital IQ

Colorado's Equal Pay for Equal Work Act (SB 19-085)
Pursuant to Colorado's Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the salary range displayed is for the Colorado market. The salary for this role will be based on the experience, education, and skill set of the individual for the position. Total compensation and benefits consist of salary, group health plan benefits, 401(K), profit-sharing contributions, flexible time off, and parental leave. Forvis Mazars reserves the right to make changes to the salary range based on business needs.
