This position ensures thattraining aligns with Pennsylvania state regulations, national EMS education standards, and best practicesin emergency medical services. The EMS Educator will serve as a mentor and resource for trainees,onboarding new hires and hands-on skill development.

Position: EMS Educator
Shift: Full-time

Experience:
* Minimum of five years of prehospital basic life support or EMS/Paramedic provider experience required.
* Strong understanding of EMS protocols, pre-hospital care procedures, and Pennsylvania EMS regulations.
* Preferred - Knowledge of normal and abnormal patterns of growth and development of neonates, infants, children, adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients. Minimum of two years of experience teaching at a PA DOH EMS educational institute.

Education:
High School or GED
Certified EMS Instructor (PA DOH EMS Instructor Credential) REQUIRED
Instructor certification from a recognized body (e.g., American Heart Association, NAEMT, PA DOH EMS Instructor Certification) preferred.

Licensures/Certifications:
BLS/CPR Certification Requirements
BLS Certification by American Heart Association preferred upon hire, required in timeframe specified in
CPR (BLS)/ALS/PALS Policy
Licensures & Certifications
* Current Pennsylvania certification as an EMT, NREMT or Paramedic required.
* Current valid driver*s license required, with a copy on file.
* Current BCLS certification required.
* Hazmat Awareness, and EVOC all are required.
* Other certifications are encouraged, such as: PHTLS, BTLS, Fire I or equivalent.
* Certified EMS Instructor Preferred (PA DOH EMS Instructor Credential REQUIRED).
* Instructor certification from a recognized body (e.g., American Heart Association, NAEMT, PA
DOH EMS Instructor Certification) preferred.
