The Director of Engineering-Steel is a member of the LPC campus leadership team. In this position, the individual will be responsible for accelerating process improvements and technical capabilities in the Steel Large Structurals manufacturing operations through identifying and eliminating process variations and driving process and product improvements to accomplish scrap and rework reduction in all phases of the operation. The objective is to assist the LPC operations in meeting their business and financial goals through the attainment of a higher level of technical excellence. The development and implementation of statistical and analytical controls for internal and external consistency will be a key component resulting in first time process yield improvements and scrap reduction. The Director's performance will be measured on their ability to contribute to the plant operation's P & L as well as setting new strategies in place to drive tomorrow's business.
