Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform trouble shooting, calibration, and repair of production equipment as needed to always keep lines operational.
- Performs scheduled preventative maintenance to identify and replace failed components such as bearings, belts, motors, etc.
- Can read and interpret equipment manuals, drawings, schematics, blueprints, and work orders to perform required maintenance.
- Dismantles/disassembles defective machines and equipment and installs new or repaired parts, using specifications and/or blueprints, precision measuring instruments, and hand tools.
- Calibrations and adjustments on various types of devices and production control systems.
- Understands facilities, mechanical/electrical systems and their component functions and relationships; and is competent in their troubleshooting and repair
- Assist other maintenance and production team members as required in support of plant goals.
- Equipment selection - able to determine the kind of tools and equipment needed to perform the work
Required Qualifications
- HS Diploma or equivalent
- Maintenance Program Certification or equivalent experience
- 3-5 years of experience in industrial maintenance capacity in a production setting.
- Experience with at least 8/10 of the following skills: electrical systems, PLC troubleshooting, pneumatics, preventive maintenance, compressors, welding, plumbing, conveyers, hydraulics, and pumps.
- Installation, troubleshooting, repair knowledge of electrical systems including 240v and below
- Able to interface and cooperate well with production line workers and supervisors, with a strong customer service mindset.
- Basic math, reading, and computer skills (Microsoft Word & Excel, Outlook)
- Manufacturing safety program familiarity (PPE, LOTO, Arc Flash)
- Ability to solve problems and apply critical thinking.
- Able to work effectively and efficiently as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with plastic production equipment a plus.
- Ability to operate cranes, forklift, and other related equipment.
- Experience with 480V electrical systems.
Physical Requirements
- Frequent standing, walking, and bending.
- Pushing, pulling, lifting at least 50lbs.
- Eye/hand coordination.
