Accounting Specialist (AP & AR)

Location: Onsite, NW Houston

We are seeking an experienced Accounting Specialist to support day-to-day accounting operations for a manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for assisting with month-end and year-end close, overseeing AP/AR accuracy, supporting audits, and helping document and improve accounting processes. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable working independently in a fast-paced setting.

  Assist with preparation of journal entries

  Support month-end and year-end close processes as assigned

  Set up and maintain customer credit records for Accounts Receivable

  Assist with internal and external audit tasks as needed

  Oversee daily Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable activity for accuracy

  
  
• 
  

  Revise, create, and document accounting processes and procedures

  
  
• 
  

  Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate financial reporting

  Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field preferred

  
  
• 
  

  Minimum of 5 years of accounting or finance experience

  
  
• 
  

  Prior experience in a manufacturing environment required

  
  
• 
  

  Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail

  
  
• 
  

  Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills

  
  
• 
  

  Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment

  Experience with QuickBooks preferred

  Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

  Ability to work independently and as part of a team
