Job Overview:
We have an opportunity available for an Operations Supervisor. We are currently seeking a supportive and driven individual to lead our shipping and assembly team. This role will be responsible for setting and communicating daily, weekly, and monthly goals to team members, and organizing workflow in a fast-paced environment. The supervisor works with the team to ensure adherence to health and safety codes, timely production output, and continuous improvement to workflow and efficiency. The ideal candidate is organized, analytical, and a problem solver who can meet deadlines and prioritize multiple projects.
Responsibilities :
- Ensure a safe and compliant work environment for the team to effectively assemble and ship on time
- Oversee sourcing, purchasing, and supplier negotiations to ensure cost-effective and timely acquisition of goods and services
- Forecast demand and actively manage fluid inventory levels with parts that deplete at variable rates
- Develop and maintain an inventory system within stocking minimums and accurate lead times
- Oversee the manual assembly of numerous parts and consumables
- Oversee accurate shipment of consumables, equipment, and rental fleet worldwide via various methods and speeds
- Oversee the cleaning and redeployment of intricate rental equipment with calibration requirements
- Participate in cross-functional team activities in the development and implementation of new processes, tools and workflows
- Develop and maintain professional relations with supply vendors, postal carriers, and facilities technicians
- Responsible for employee job training, employee performance & development, employee discipline, policies and procedures compliance, attendance and vacation schedules, labor reporting, inventory accuracy, etc.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma
- 5+ years of experience of leadership experience
- Understanding of Lean principles and responsibilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to handle internal and external contacts in a positive, assertive, and effective manner is required.
- Ability to use Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point
- Ability to handle multiple tasks in an efficient and professional manner, detail oriented
Preferences:
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, or Technical related field is preferred
- Understanding of relevant KPIs (key performance indicators)
Travel & Work Arrangements/Requirements
This position will be based at our site in Austin, TX with minimal anticipated travel.
