The Senior Power BI Developer will lead the design, development, and support of enterprise-wide reporting and dashboard solutions that drive actionable insights. This role is hands-on across the full Power BI lifecycle-from gathering business and technical requirements to building intuitive data models, publishing impactful dashboards, and ensuring seamless deployment and support. Collaborating directly with teams across patient accounting systems, clinical platforms, and multiple data warehouses to source and shape data into meaningful analytics.

Your work will empower decision-makers with clear, user-friendly visualizations and real-time intelligence. This position reports to the Director of Revenue Strategy & Analytics and plays a critical role in transforming data into strategy.

Responsibilities:

  • Translate complex business requirements into intuitive, actionable, and visually compelling Power BI reports and dashboards.
  • Monitor daily ETL processes to ensure timely and accurate data refreshes; proactively troubleshoot and resolve any issues.
  • Partner with SQL and Data Management teams to source new datasets, build tables and views, and enhance Power BI data models for deeper analytics.
  • Optimize and standardize architecture, data models, and DAX measures in alignment with Power BI best practices.
  • Document all aspects of the reporting ecosystem-including data models, algorithms, metrics, formulas, and refresh schedules-in a clear and shareable format.

Qualifications:
Education & Industry Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, Business, or related field.
  • 5+ years in business intelligence roles; healthcare revenue cycle experience preferred.
  • 3+ years of hands-on Power BI experience including design, publishing, scheduling, and optimization.
  • Strong proficiency in developing efficient data models and dynamic visualizations using Power BI.
  • Advanced coding skills in Python and DAX for complex queries and measures.
  • Expertise in sourcing data from SQL and understanding relational schemas.
  • Skilled in Power BI Fabric, Notebooks, managing data models, performing advanced data analysis, and developing custom visualizations and reports.
  • Experience implementing row-level security and incremental refreshes.
  • Exceptional analytical thinking, problem-solving, and attention to data accuracy and integrity.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects independently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Excellent communication skills-oral, written, and interpersonal.
  • Power BI certification and experience with AI agent development are a plus.
