Training Specialist role is the hands-on leader of training experiences with associates across the bakery. This role is critical to the successful skill development needs of our people, in areas including People & Food Safety and Job Skills such as operating equipment, ensuring product quality, and working together as a team of people committed to bakery success.

A day in the life of the Training Specialist includes a variety of activities including - coordinating training schedules, updating training trackers and technology tools, and of course - training people! In the bakery, training is an active part of how people learn new skills, grow their capabilities, and become ready to move into other jobs in their careers.

Responsibilities:




  • Identify training needs by evaluating strengths and weaknesses



  • Assist in developing training programs and prepare training plans as needed.



  • Support the development of the production classroom handouts, instructional materials, aids and manuals



  • Support structured learning experiences and monitor their quality results



  • Acclimate new hires to the business by conducting structured orientation sessions





Basic Qualifications:

* Associate's degree and 4 years' manufacturing or operations experience OR GED and 7 years' experience

* Bilingual, English/Spanish preferred

* Experience in coordinating the training experiences for more than 100 employees preferred

* Strong skills needed in Microsoft Office 365 to develop reports, presentations and training materials as needed

Candidate should be able to:



  • Lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Work standing or walking for long periods of time.
  • Work bending and squatting.
  • Work making fast and repetitive hand motions.
  • Work in cold refrigerated and frozen conditions.
