We have an opportunity at our corporate offices in Washington D.C. for a AMPAC Membership Director I on our Advocacy team. This position will report to the DC location 3 days a week.

This role is responsible for building, executing, and optimizing digital
fundraising initiatives in alignment with AMPAC's goals and priorities and
contributing to traditional fundraising initiatives. Lead messaging development
and define digital campaign direction, while collaborating closely with
internal stakeholders to ensure alignment with broader AMA advocacy goals. This
role is also responsible for initiating and overseeing new projects to help
drive participation and revenue growth and will directly interface with AMA
membership, including the House of Delegates and various Sections across the
organization, as well as high-value PAC contributors.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Digital Fundraising

  • Develop and implement new projects designed to grow and strengthen AMPAC, including microtargeted digital fundraising campaigns via email, website, contribution forms, and other digital engagement tools.
  • Oversee internal and external vendor data privacy compliance and ensure FEC requirements are met.
  • Develop and lead the implementation of compelling fundraising messages targeting a variety of donor segments.
  • Lead the development and execution of testimonial campaigns featuring AMA member voices in print and video, highlighting personal motivations for supporting AMPAC and AMA advocacy.
  • Engage with internal teams to integrate and execute cross-channel fundraising strategies that increase both participation and contributions.
  • Promote AMPAC awareness across AMA membership by drafting and placing content in internal AMA communication vehicles and overseeing the production of a quarterly newsletter for distribution to select audiences.
  • Provide actionable insights and recommendations to influence AMPAC Board decisions.

Campaign Tracking & Digital Optimization

  • Identify and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) and refine KPIs based on campaign results and insights.
  • Manage centralized campaign trackers and calendars to support visibility across multiple program timelines and deliverables.
  • Assess performance data across channels and recommend data-driven enhancements to improve campaign effectiveness.
  • Ensure all AMPAC fundraising activities comply with Federal Election Commission (FEC) regulations and PAC data privacy requirements.

Stakeholder Engagement, Events and Cross-Functional Projects

  • Provide on-site support for AMPAC engagement events during AMA national meetings, ensuring a polished and professional donor experience.
  • Engage and build relationships and communicate directly with donors, AMA members, House of Delegates, specific Sections, and high-value PAC contributors during events.
  • Serve as the primary resource for emergent priorities and special projects for the AMPAC Board of Directors.-
  • Collaborate with MMX and Media Relations team to identify opportunities for expanding AMPAC's reach and visibility through digital outreach and AMA communication platforms.
  • Work with external vendors and creative agencies (digital ad production, copywriting, video) to ensure successful execution of digital campaigns and projects.

REQUIREMENTS:

  1. Bachelor's degree required.
  2. Minimum 10+ years' experience with political fundraising and strategic campaign development and management required; preferably with political action committees (PACs), membership trade associations, political campaigns, or advocacy organizations.
  3. Proven experience with political and digital marketing fundraising campaign execution, vendor management, and cross-channel integration.
  4. Proven experience with pilot project execution, management, and evaluation.
  5. Highly organized and self-driven. Creative thinker with the ability to shape messaging strategies and propose new initiatives that align with established fundraising goals.
  6. Results-oriented with high attention to detail, ability to multi-task, and meet deadlines.
  7. Ability to think in innovative ways to find solutions to problems.
  8. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  9. Strong interpersonal skills to build relationships with donors and other stakeholders.
  10. Some travel required.

This role is an exempt position, and the salary range for this position is $150,348-$203,082. This is the lowest to highest salary we believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. An employee's pay within the salary range will be determined by a variety of factors including but not limited to business consideration and geographical location, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
