Bursar Representative

We are currently seeking to fill our Bursar Representative position at the Philadelphia campus with a highly qualified and passionate individual.

Department: Bursar's Office
FLSA: Non-Exempt
Location: Philadelphia, PA

Position Summary
Assists the Bursar in the execution of the Bursar's office duties and is responsible for the collection of student accounts. Provides superior customer service to Bursar customers at all times.

ESSENTIAL SUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES
* First point of contact for Bursar's Office customers at the front desk, phone calls and emails.
* Assists the Bursar in billing students for their tuition and fees.
o Supports the Bursar in billing the military.
* Assists the Bursar in disbursing loan refunds to students.
* Processes physical checks that are remitted to the Bursar's Office using remote capture with the College's bank.
* Notifies students when their paper loan checks are in the office for their signature.
* Locates/Notifies students when paper checks are returned undeliverable.
* Assists the Bursar with the LOA/Withdrawal process and notifies students of any balances. Follow through with needed collection efforts with the collection company.
* Liaison with PCOM's Student Loan Servicer
o Processes self-certification letters for the PCL loans
o Coordinates loan verifications for borrowers requesting consolidation of student loans
o Processes advance files for LDS
o Processes deferments for PCL, LDS, and Alumni borrowers
* Assists students in solving tuition-related questions.
* Process monthly billing for PCOM tenants, GME sites, and miscellaneous invoices.
* Assists PCOM departments with miscellaneous deposits.
* Makes cash deposits to the bank and picking up the garage kiosk change order.
* Collects money from the garage collection kiosks and replenishes change to the kiosks.
* Assists PCOM community with miscellaneous item setups on the e-bookstore site (i.e. courses, key return fee)
* Assist with the implementation of the Bursar-related workstreams of a new ERP system.
* Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Education
*Preferred: Two-year Associate's Degree or related experience

Experience and Required Skills
* 2 years of administrative experience
* Experience with Microsoft Excel and Word

Starting Salary: $26/hr


The referenced salary range is based on PCOM good faith belief at the time of posting. Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as geographic location, work experience, market conditions, education/training and skill level.
