*Construction Manager - *Electric Utility Projects
*Position Summary:* The Construction Manager is a mid-level field leadership role responsible for overseeing electric utility construction projects, with a focus on transmission and substation work. This role ensures that all aspects of the project-from safety and environmental compliance to engineering and civil construction-are executed efficiently, safely, and to specification. The Superintendent works independently on-site while collaborating daily with construction crews, engineering firms, project management teams, and internal stakeholders. *Key Responsibilities:* * Lead and manage the full scope of electric utility construction projects, including transmission and substation work. * Supervise and coordinate contractors, subcontractors, and craft labor. * Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards. * Interpret and apply construction prints, engineering designs, and specifications. * Monitor project progress, maintain schedules, and report daily activities. * Interface with all levels of craft and management personnel, including leadership. * Resolve on-site issues and maintain strong working relationships with all stakeholders. * Conduct site inspections and safety observations; document findings. * Support procurement and logistics of materials and equipment. * Maintain accurate records and communicate project status to leadership. *Must-Have Qualifications:* * Electric utility construction experience - specifically in transmission and/or substation projects. * Proven leadership experience in managing field teams and subcontractors. * Strong understanding of engineering design, civil construction, and electrical construction. * Ability to read and interpret construction prints and technical documents. * Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work independently while collaborating with diverse teams. *Technical Skills:* * Proficient in computer usage and typing daily reports and safety observations. * Familiarity with construction management software and Microsoft Office Suite. * Ability to learn and use various computer applications (training provided). *Work Environment:* * Field-based role with exposure to outdoor conditions and construction site hazards. * Requires independent work and daily interaction with construction crews, engineering firms, project management teams, and internal work groups. * May involve extended hours depending on project needs. * *Pay and Benefits* The pay range for this position is $60.00 - $80.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
