Your tasks
- Perform maintenance and servicing of all chemical systems and equipment.
- Train colleagues to independently troubleshoot and resolve malfunctions.
- Conduct quality assurance tests and inspections.
- Perform process-related inspections and document compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Handle administrative tasks, including accurate documentation and reporting.
- Support improvement initiatives to maintain and enhance performance, OEE, and product quality.
- Ensure compliance with SOS standards and actively participate in the Symbios program.
- Conduct compatibility testing of new chemicals with the existing water matrix.
- Drive continuous improvements with respect to cost-efficient plant operations.
- Approve new chemicals and oversee safe integration into processes.
- Perform quality control of conversion layers and analytical testing of chemical treatment baths.
- Analyze indirectly discharged wastewater to ensure compliance with regulations.
- Represent the values of both the site and the Casting Solutions Group, contributing to company and departmental goals
Your profile
- Strong knowledge of chemical processes, testing methods, and plant maintenance.
- Previous experience in e-coating or passivation strongly preferred
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents, safety protocols, and regulatory guidelines.
- Hands-on experience with troubleshooting chemical or mechanical plant systems.
- Proficiency in maintaining accurate documentation and logs.
- Strong commitment to workplace safety and compliance.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Associate degree or vocational training in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Maintenance, or a related field required.
- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Engineering, or related discipline preferred.
- 2+ years of experience in a chemical plant, foundry, or industrial environment preferred.
- Demonstrated knowledge of chemical handling, wastewater treatment, and process analysis.
- Prior training in safety, environmental compliance, or quality assurance is strongly preferred.
- Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout industrial facilities for extended periods.
- Ability to lift, carry, and move materials up to 50 pounds.
- Manual dexterity to handle tools, instruments, and equipment.
- Must be able to wear personal protective equipment (PPE), including respirators, safety glasses, gloves, and hearing protection.
- Tolerance for working in varying environmental conditions (heat, noise, chemical exposure).
