We have an immediate need for a Meeting and Events Manager in San Diego.

The Meeting and Events Manager is responsible for the strategic planning, developing, and executing high-impact events that align with business goals and drive organizational success. This role works cross-functionally with stakeholders to design innovative event programs, manage resources, maximize ROI, and enhance the company's brand presence through immersive experiences.

Responsibilities

    Develop, implement, and manage a comprehensive events strategy that supports business priorities and marketing objectives
  • Plan, produce, and execute events from ideation through follow-up, including logistics, scheduling, and on-site supervision.
  • Collaborate with executives, marketing, sales, and external partners to ensure event themes, messaging, and goals are achieved.
  • Create, manage, and reconcile detailed event budgets, ensuring ROI and fiscal responsibility.
  • Identify and engage target audiences, sponsors, and vendors to maximize event participation and success.
  • Establish standardized processes for scalable event programs, including best practices, toolkits, and post-event analysis.
  • Oversee all event communications and promotions across internal and external channels to achieve attendee acquisition and engagement goals.
  • Evaluate event outcomes through data analysis, attendee feedback, and reporting; implement recommendations for ongoing improvement.
  • Ensure all events adhere to brand standards, health and safety requirements, and legal regulations.
  • Negotiate contracts with venues and suppliers; manage relationships to ensure high-quality, cost-effective solutions.
  • Foster a culture of high performance; provide leadership, guidance, and support to event teams and other collaborators.


Qualifications

  • Proven experience managing strategic events (corporate, industry, or nonprofit, as applicable).
  • Strong strategic planning and project management abilities, with a record of delivering multiple, complex events on time and within budget.
  • Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams and delegate responsibilities effectively.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills; capable of building lasting partnerships with stakeholders, sponsors, and vendors.
  • Strong analytical and data-driven mindset, comfortable measuring event KPIs and using insights to improve future events.
  • High degree of creativity and flexibility; able to design engaging, innovative event experiences and adapt quickly to changing needs.
  • Advanced organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Hospitality, or a related field.
  • Familiarity with trends and best practices in strategic event management, digital/hybrid event platforms, and event tech solutions.
  • Demonstrated success in post-event analysis, including budgeting, lead generation, and ROI reporting.
