Human Resources Business Parter
Location: Role can be based in Austin or Irving, TX
Job type: Full time
What You'll Do
- Partners with Region Vice President, Leaders, and Managers to create and execute people strategies that support business goals, using various insights and metrics to guide and track results.
- Recommends solutions to ensure a positive and supportive work environment that promotes high levels of productivity, integrity, and mutual respect. Anticipates challenges and proactively seeks improvements impacting management, increasing productivity, efficiencies, and retention.
- Collaborates with managers to investigate associate relations and partners with the VP of HR to determine appropriate course of action.
- Communicate across all levels, collaborate across boundaries and geographies while working with colleagues across the business and the HR team.
- Analyzes trends and metrics in partnership with the HR team to develop solutions, programs, and policies.
- Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of associates, reducing legal risks, and ensuring regulatory compliance.
- Provides day-to-day performance management guidance to management, including but not limited to coaching, counseling, and career development.
- Facilitate training on HR-related topics such as performance management, leadership, interviewing, etc.
- Guide talent planning, conduct talent reviews, oversee succession planning, and support career development and high potential identification.
- Champion initiatives to build a strong organizational culture and improve overall associate experience.
- Assists with annual open enrollment; Keeps associates informed of benefit options, programs, and critical information.
- Oversee Engagement Survey and resulting action items for assigned Region(s)
- Travel as needed
What You Bring
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- 5-7 years strategic HR Generalist or Business Partner experience
- Proficient MS Office & excellent Excel skills
- A working knowledge of state and federal employment laws
- Time management and organizational skills necessary to manage multiple projects, appropriately prioritize workload, plan for resources to meet deadlines and goals, and work independently in responding to day-to-day functional needs
- Strong verbal and written communication skills necessary to explain complex and/or confidential information to all levels of management
- Knowledge of the methods and procedures used in collecting analyzing, interpreting, and reporting data
Preferred Qualifications
- Analytical skills, excel and PowerPoint experience
- Experience providing HR consultation and partnership to business unit executives and senior leaders
- Strong business acumen, HR and Organization Development expertise with proficiency in multiple disciplines within HR.
