The Opportunity:

We are seeking an experienced professional driven by technical prowess and customer insights to bring value to our customers across our molecular point of care solution portfolio. The Product Manager (PM) - Molecular POC Solutions role partners with key US and global stakeholders to drive US customer and business needs. This role is responsible for internal processes that drive product updates while managing product availability-related inquiries and communications. In conjunction with the demand planning team, the PM is responsible for gathering data to create product forecasts and business plans for assigned products. This role serves as the business owner/key point of contact for all matters pertaining to their portfolio to both internal and external business partners and stakeholders. The PM effectively works within a cross functional team to inspire and influence above authority. This role is expected to collaborate and develop strong partnerships with many stakeholders across the organization, including Customer Marketing, Digital Solutions marketing, Corporate Accounts, Supply Chain, Roche Service Network, Commercial Education, Sales, Legal, and other functions to deliver innovative customer solutions.

The PM requires the regular use of originality and ingenuity. The candidate possesses and applies a comprehensive knowledge of a particular field or business function, and serves as the subject matter expert for utility and use of assigned products in the market. Duties are varied and complex, often involving research, analysis and solution development. This role requires an individual who can think strategically, collaborate effectively, be a technical expert, ruthlessly prioritize based on business needs, and translate customer feedback into actionable results.

Job Facts:

  • The Product Manager, Molecular POC Solutions, reports to the Group Marketing Manager and serves as a member of the Molecular POC Solutions team - a team responsible for the product management of cobas liat portfolio

  • Responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive portfolio/product strategy to accomplish business objectives

  • Works with internal US stakeholders to manage and support assigned product lines including, but not limited to forecasting, pricing, inventory management, and implementation of product updates

  • Works with global team to influence product development and lifecycle decisions as US customer and marketing representative

  • Serves as the technical expert for their specific area of responsibility.

  • Develops business area mastery via deep understanding of market segments & trends, business model, analysis of critical success factors, sales forecasting, competition, and customer needs

  • Supports customer conversations and presentations, including but not limited to customer meetings, IHN visits, 360 events, and medical conferences

  • Inspires impactful business solutions and positive change by encouraging, motivating and empowering others

Who You Are:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, other Life Sciences or business-related fields

  • 5 years of product management, marketing, business, or equivalent work experience in the healthcare industry

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proven record of navigating complex and challenging situations

  • Exceptional project management and cross-functional leadership skills; able to influence across a wider stakeholder network

  • Technical aptitude and/or a background in the lab or healthcare-related field

  • Demonstrated business acumen and data-driven decision making

  • Detail-oriented, able to independently drive multiple projects, prioritize based on business-critical needs, and independently make decisions and recommendations that align to overall business and portfolio strategy

  • Knowledge and understanding of Molecular Point of Care testing space

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and/or Google suite tools

  • Ability to travel in the continental US or globally as dictated by business need

Location:

  • This position is based onsite in our Indianapolis campus

  • No relocation benefits are provided for this role

The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location of Indiana is $97,800 - $181,600. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law.This position is eligible to earn incentive compensation that is calculated and paid in accordance with the applicable Incentive Compensation Plan for the role.
