We foster an inclusive culture and are looking for diverse, talented people to join Alcon. The Senior Technician will perform dimensional, optical power, and material testing of contact lenses and lens materials. This role is on-site in Johns Creek, GA and atypical day would include:

• Develops and evaluates metrology calibration systems that measure characteristics of objects, substances, or phenomena, such as length, mass, time, temperature, electric current, luminous intensity, and derived units of physical or chemical measure.
• Identifies magnitude of error sources contributing to uncertainty of results to determine reliability of measurement process in quantitative terms.
• Develops calibration methods and techniques based on principles of measurement science, technical analysis of measurement problems and accuracy and precision requirements.

What You'll Bring to Alcon:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• The ability to fluently read, write, understand and communicate in English
• 1 Year of Relevant Experience.
• Willingness to learn.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced laboratory environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Familiar with Microsoft Office (Excel a plus)
• Familiar with Minitab a plus
• Contact lens handling experience
